透過傳統車床工藝，匠人先將實心胡桃木原材穩固於車床中心，以精密刀具逐層刨削至標準球體形狀。過程中嚴控轉速與刀具角度，確保木紋自然貫通且表面無刮痕。初步成型後，採用200→400→600 目砂紙依序打磨，去除微小毛刺與不規則處。最後使用天然亞麻籽油手工拋光，使表面光滑無瑕並呈現木紋立體層次；再上一道抗裂底漆，提升耐用性及防潮效果。成品兼具古典質感與實用價值，可用於家居擺飾、文創禮品或攝影道具。
Using traditional lathe craftsmanship, the artisan first secures a solid walnut blank at the lathe’s center and carves it layer by layer with precision cutting tools until a standard spherical form is achieved. During turning, rotational speed and tool angle are strictly controlled to ensure natural continuity of the grain and a defect-free surface. After rough shaping, the piece undergoes sequential sanding with 200 → 400 → 600 grit sandpapers to remove any fine burrs or irregularities. Finally, it is hand-polished with natural linseed oil to create a flawlessly smooth finish that accentuates the wood’s grain layers, and a crack-resistant base coat is applied to enhance durability and moisture resistance. The finished sphere offers both classic aesthetic and practical value—ideal for home décor, creative gifting, or photography props.
